Once licenced and a member of our club you will be able to take part in our
special event activities.
We mount a demonstration station every year at the CVWOC Jamboree and usually
receive a huge amount of interest. It is amazing how many of our visitors at the
Jamboree are already licenced.
In 1987 I became one of the founder members of International Marconi Day. This
event is normally held on the Saturday nearest to April 24th [Marconi's birthday].
There will be approximately 50 official stations taking part from locations around
the globe where Marconi carried out his numerous experiments.
We hold a mobile Rally each July when we provide the venue,Penair School,Truro,
for traders to set up their stalls and sell their wares normally linked to amateur radio
and computing but anything goes if we have the space.
Catering is provided too and as much as anything its a social event to allow us to
meet the voices we speak to regularly face to face.
We hold radio section meetings every first Wednesday of the month at the Perranwell
Church Hall and our computer section hold their monthly meetings in addition at the same
venue. Come long and see us either at our Rally in July or at one of our outside events
like the CVWOC Jamboree we will always welcome your visit.
We have also operated many times at other events locally such as, The Traction Engine
Rally, Mabe shindig and the Redruth & District Model flying club displays.
